We collect three broad categories of information.
Information you give us directly
- Account and application data: name, email address, phone number, professional background, resume/CV, code samples, links to public profiles (GitHub, LinkedIn), and other information you submit through our forms or the platform.
- Assessment data: code you submit, written responses, interview notes, references, and scores from our vetting process.
- Payment data: billing details processed through third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
- Communications: messages you send us via email, forms, or chat.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, time spent, links clicked, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and similar technical information.
- Cookies and similar technologies: small data files used to make the site work, remember your preferences, and help us understand how people use our Services. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some parts of the site may not work properly without them.
Information we receive from third parties
- Reference and verification data: responses from references you nominate, verification of credentials, and similar checks.
- Employer or partner data: when hiring teams use our Services, we receive role requirements, feedback on candidates, and outcome information.

- Provide, maintain, and improve our Services — including vetting, matching, training delivery, and platform operations.
- Communicate with you about your account, matches, program milestones, and changes to our Services.
- Process payments and manage Income Share Agreements where applicable.

- Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and protect our rights.
- Conduct analytics and research to understand usage patterns and improve our products.
4. When we share information
We share information only in the following cases:
- With hiring companies you're matched with — so they can evaluate you for a role. We share your profile, assessment scores, and case studies, but only once you consent to be matched with that company.
- With service providers who process information on our behalf (hosting, email, analytics, payments, customer support). These providers act under contract and may only use your data to provide the services we ask them to.
- For legal reasons, including to comply with applicable laws, respond to valid requests from public authorities, or enforce our terms.
- In the event of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case you will be notified and your data will continue to be governed by a privacy policy no less protective than this one.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertisers.
5. How long we keep information
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. If you close your account, we typically delete or anonymize your data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legitimate business or legal reasons (for example, tax records, fraud prevention, or active ISA agreements).

Depending on where you are, you may have the following rights over your personal information:
