Teams spend weeks sifting through hundreds of resumes, running interview loops that test things no one actually does at work, and still end up mis-hiring. Engineers, meanwhile, submit applications into black holes, get ghosted after take-homes, and field a steady stream of poorly-targeted recruiter spam.
We thought the deeper issue was simpler than the industry treats it: there is no trustworthy layer between companies and candidates. Every LinkedIn message, every job board, every recruiter pitch is essentially noise — because no one has bothered to actually evaluate anyone before connecting them.
Engagetal is the trust layer. We vet developers carefully once — across code quality, system design, communication, and async habits — and keep their profiles current. When a company has a hiring need, our matching engine surfaces the four engineers most likely to succeed in that role. The company interviews only people we've already said "yes" to. The engineer only hears about roles they're genuinely suited for.
