Engineer’s Eye
Privacy Policy

Last updated:

The short version

Your game profile and progress stay on your device. No ads or analytics are built into the game. Sharing is your choice. Android backup and any support messages are explained below.

1. About this policy

Engineer’s Eye is an Android engineering puzzle game developed by Engagetal Solutions (OPC) Private Limited, New Delhi, India. This policy explains how the game handles information. It applies to the offline Android game; use of the Engagetal website and hiring services is covered by our website privacy policy.

2. Information stored on your device

The game stores your chosen player name, scores, campaign and Workshop progress, answer history, achievements, and music, sound and haptic preferences on your device. A nickname is enough; you do not need to provide your legal name.

This information personalises greetings and results, remembers your settings, and lets you continue your progress or practise previous mistakes. This version does not require an online account or send your game profile and progress to Engagetal’s servers.

3. Permissions, ads and analytics

The game uses Android’s vibration permission for optional haptic feedback. You can turn this off in the game’s Settings. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone or shared photo library.

The Android game contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs. Engagetal does not sell your personal information.

4. When you share a result

Sharing happens only when you choose Share Result. The score card and accompanying text may include your player name, score and level. Android’s sharing menu lets you select the app or recipient. That service handles the information according to its own privacy policy. Engagetal does not receive a copy through this feature.

Temporary score images are kept in the app’s cache. Images older than one day are cleaned up when you generate another share image. Android may also clear cached files. Copies you have already shared remain with the recipients or services you selected.

5. Android backup and device transfer

Android may back up or transfer app data, including your local player profile and progress, depending on your operating system, device and backup settings. These system services are provided by your platform or device provider; they are not an Engagetal cloud-sync service. You can manage backups in your device or backup provider’s settings.

6. Your choices, retention and deletion

Your local game data is retained until you change or delete it. You can:

  • Change your name: open Settings in the game and choose Change name.
  • Change feedback preferences: adjust or disable music, sound effects and haptic feedback in Settings.
  • Reset gameplay progress: use Reset progress. This preserves your player name and preferences.
  • Remove all local game data: use Android’s app-storage settings to clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the game. This removes the local profile and saved progress.

Backup copies may remain according to your backup provider’s settings and retention rules. Deleting local data does not delete score cards you have already shared. The game has no online account to close.

7. Website links and support enquiries

If you open our website or an email link, your browser or email service handles that interaction. Website visits are covered by our website privacy policy and relevant service-provider policies.

If you contact hello@engagetal.com, we receive the email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your enquiry and retain it as needed to handle support and meet applicable obligations. Our email service provider processes correspondence to deliver that service. You can contact the same address to request access, correction or deletion of your support correspondence, subject to applicable retention requirements. Please avoid sending passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information.

8. Intended audience

Engineer’s Eye is intended for adults aged 18 and older. It is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support enquiry, contact us so we can address it.

9. Security

Game data is stored within the application’s storage and protected by Android’s app isolation. The game does not transmit its local profile or progress to Engagetal. No storage or communication method can guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we will update this policy and its date. Material changes that require an in-app notice or consent will be handled in the app as appropriate.
