Software Engineering + AI/ML

Computer systems and algorithms, a complete Rust module modelled on Google's Comprehensive Rust, full-stack and distributed systems, then applied AI and ML engineering: transformers, retrieval, agents, evaluation and MLOps.

You've graduated and want a serious start

Recent graduates, and people switching in from another field, who can already do the basics and want to be hired as professionals rather than trainees.

  • Structured pre-work about 40 hours, completed before 26 October, so day one starts level.
  • Saturday foundations clinic for the first six weeks, on top of the core lab.
  • Interview preparation from week 10, including mock technical or case rounds.

Working engineers, marketers, BD and sales professionals who want depth, AI fluency and a step up in role or compensation, without leaving their job to get it.

  • Advanced problem sets and stretch labs in every module.
  • Leadership electives: architecture reviews for engineers, planning and quota design for GTM.
  • Evenings and weekends by design, with every live session recorded.
Graduation is mandatory. You must hold a completed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university by 26 October 2026, and show proof at enrolment. Final-year students are welcome to apply for a later cohort.
Inside the Fellowship

How you'll actually learn.

Lectures explain the idea. Labs make you use it. Projects make you ship it. Reviews make you defend it. AI is part of every stage, the way it is at work.

Live seminars

Four evenings a week, 7:30 to 9:30 pm IST. Graduate-level material, taught by practitioners, with questions encouraged.

Labs and pair work

Saturday lab days in small pods: pair programming for engineers, case rooms and role plays for GTM.

Projects that ship

One substantial project per module, reviewed like production work, building to a capstone you can show employers.

AI-native practice

You learn to use AI tools well and to build with them: when to trust output, how to evaluate it, and where it fails.

Mentors and reviews

Every project gets written feedback from a mentor. Weekly office hours for anything that is not clicking.

Assessed, not attended

Weekly assessments, a module exam and a capstone defence. The certificate means you passed, not that you showed up.

Sessions are recorded. You need to attend at least 80% of live sessions to graduate. The exact schedule is confirmed at orientation.

That is the point of the ISA. It means our incentives and yours point the same way: towards a real job, at a real salary, as early as the programme allows.

We do not guarantee a job or a salary. Outcomes depend on your effort, your performance and the market, which is exactly why the ISA costs you nothing if we cannot place you.

Fellowship FAQ

Questions we get every cohort.

Can I keep my job while doing the Fellowship?
Yes, that is what it is designed for. Live sessions run in the evening on weekdays and during the day on weekends. Expect about 35 hours a week in total, so plan your evenings and weekends honestly before you apply.
I'm a fresher. Is this too advanced for me?
No, provided you have completed your degree and can meet the entry bar: for the engineering track, you can write working programs in at least one language; for the GTM track, you write clearly and are comfortable with numbers. Freshers join the Launch pod, with structured pre-work and an extra Saturday foundations clinic for the first six weeks.
Is graduation really mandatory?
Yes. You need a completed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university by the cohort start date, and you will be asked for proof at enrolment. If you are in your final year, apply for a later cohort.
What does "Master's-level" actually mean here?
It means the depth of the material, not a degree. Readings, problem sets and projects are drawn from the kind of work covered in graduate programmes: distributed consensus, transformer internals and evaluation on the engineering side; causal experimentation, pricing research and ML for revenue on the GTM side. The Fellowship awards an Engagetal certificate, not an academic qualification.
When do I start paying under the ISA?
Only after you start a job that came through our placement efforts during the Fellowship and pays above ₹5 LPA (about ₹41,667 a month). Payments begin the month after your first qualifying salary, at 10% of gross monthly income plus GST, for at most 24 payment months and never more than ₹4,00,000 in total. If you find a job entirely on your own, or stay with your current employer, you owe nothing. Read the full explanation.
What happens if I need to withdraw?
You have a 14-day cooling-off period after signing the ISA, during which you can cancel and owe nothing. After that, if you withdraw before we have secured a job offer for you, the agreement ends and you owe nothing. If we have already secured an offer for you, the ISA applies to income from that job.
What equipment do I need?
A laptop you can install software on (8 GB of RAM minimum, 16 GB recommended for the engineering track), a stable internet connection, a webcam and a headset. Cloud credits for engineering labs are provided.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. Graduates receive an Engagetal Fellowship certificate for their track, with Distinction for the strongest capstones. To graduate you need 80% live attendance, every module project submitted, a pass in the module assessments and a successful capstone defence.
